Social Media Marketing (SMM)
SMM is an opportunity to further engage your customers and turn them into advocates of your brand. I’ll be up front with you on this. My experience has shown me that SMM isn’t for all companies. You can invest a lot of time into putting out content on different networks and services, only to get nothing in return. So, you must know the networking behaviors of your customers and industry to determine if they will become followers to develop a successful SMM strategy.
SMM works for businesses that have a steady flow of information that they want to release to the public, are looking to establish an open dialog, or can add value to the immediate lives of its followers.
Whether this information is the release of a new product or feature, the announcement of promotions and discounts, or just a simple question to engage your visitors, these little opportunities to interact with your customers can build long term relationships that will benefit you for years to come.
SMM also serves as a great platform to remind your customers and followers of things connected to your business. Is it a beautiful, sunny day outside and you’re a butcher? You can use SMM to remind your followers how much a sirloin steak, when properly seasoned, can make that awesome day even better. And, it doesn’t even have to be a hard sell such as, “come in and buy our steaks”. Just simply reminding your visitors about the experience around your services can indirectly guide them to your front door.
It’s in knowing how to leverage social media that I can help guide you on the path of making the most out of your customer’s experience with your brand, and steer you away from wasted efforts of an audience that doesn’t care what you have to say.
